World Music

My name is Nilza Costa, I am a Brazilian songwriter. My music is influenced by World Music/Afro Jazz with strong African/Indian roots from Brazil and Candomble, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Samba and Brazilian folkloric music.

My texts speak of historical, political, social, love and beauty stories and are written in Portuguese, Yoruba, Italian, Zulu and Creole language. I recorded two albums and I’m recording the third one that will be released next year!

We already toured in the past in trio (without bass) in Germany, Netherlands, France, Slovakia, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Croatia. The quartet will consist in:
